DEMO 100W BLDC - Low cost FOC sensorless demo board with CoolMOS™ CEInfineon 5X2A9084
The 100W BLDC fan motor drive demo board comes with 220VAC input and a 100W max. input power in a 3-phase half bridge topology. Featuring the CoolMOS™ CE IPD60R650CE (600V, 650mΩ) in DPAK package as the main power switch, IR2301 as gate driver, and the microcontroller XMC1302 (ARM® Cortex®-M0).
The board does not only offer a sync rec algorithm to reduce reverse current hard communication stress and sensorless field orientated BLDC control (FOC), but also a minimum BoM reduction of 10% compared to IPM or IGBT. The test results show that the design is stable, and that the CoolMOS™ CE still has enough voltage and current margins.
