Power – Battery Management

ON Semiconductor’s RSL10 is a multi-protocol Bluetooth 5 certified radio System on Chip (SoC) which brings ultra-low-power wireless technology to IoT.  RSL10’s energy efficiency was recently validated by the EEMBC®’s ULPMark™ where it produced Core Profile scores more than twice as high as the previous industry leader.

Unlike most other multi-protocol radio SoCs, RSL10 is specifically designed for applications using 1.2V and 1.5V batteries, and supports a voltage supply range between 1.1V and 3.3V without a required DC/DC converter. The highly integrated radio SoC features a dual-core architecture and a 2.4 GHz transceiver, providing the flexibility to support Bluetooth low energy technology and 2.4 GHz proprietary or custom protocols.

Actuate – Motor Control

Motors empower the connected camera to react and adapt to information provided its sensors. ON Semiconductor provides robust and efficient stepper motor solutions enabling camera functions such as pan and tilt.  

ON Semiconductor’s LV8714TA provides an energy efficient, dual stepper motor driver solution with an operating voltage range from 4V to 16.5V. With low-on-resistance type power FETs, loss-less current sensing, synchronous rectification, and ultra-low standby current (<1µA), the device offers best-in-class system energy efficiency. Integrated regulators along with the ability to drive dual stepper motors enables a one-chip, single supply system solution for both pan and tilt functions.
