The K32W061/41 is designed to power the next generation of ultra-low-current multiprotocol wireless devices, supporting Zigbee 3.0/Thread/IEEE 802.15.4 and Bluetooth Low Energy 5.0. With several low-power modes, ultra-low TX and RX power consumption, and high RX sensitivity and configurable TX output power, it offers reliable and robust communications performance. Powered by Arm® Cortex®-M4, 640 KB flash and 152 KB SRAM, it enables complex applications and over-the-air (OTA) upgrade without external memory. It also has a rich set of peripherals, communication, and memory interfaces.

The K32W061/41 Development Kit (PN: IOTZTB-DK006) is designed to make it as easy as possible to get started with your project based on K32W061/41. The IOTZTB Development Kit's rich set of components includes a control bridge/generic router with an NFC reader, generic switch node, light/sensor node, and a USB dongle, making quick prototyping possible for a small wireless network.

Enablement: Software

The K32W061/41 development platform comes with an integrated programmer and debugger, along with a suite of application examples in a complete software development kit (SDK) and is compatible with the latest toolchains from IAR® and NXP’s MCUXpresso IDE. The full MCUXpresso suite of software and tools provides a seamless software experience across all NXP devices as well as a fast path to add Zigbee/Thread/Bluetooth LE capability to existing code based on other NXP devices. The IoT Toolbox smart device application, Connectivity Tool and Test Tools are provided by NXP to help developers’ evaluate RF performance and test more efficiently.
