Accelerating the development of MCU devices

The popularity of Microsoft Azure Sphere has led to an increase in the demand for IoT devices running on this secured platform. The Avnet Azure Sphere MT3620 starter kit, modules and guardian-100 enable the rapid prototyping of end-to-end IoT implementations on Microsoft Azure Sphere. Highly-secured, Wi-Fi connected MCU devices can thus be brought to market faster.

Based on the MT3620AN SoC, the production-ready, certified modules come with built-in Microsoft security and Wi-Fi connectivity. The 500 MHz ARM Cortex-A7 core can support user applications that require more power while two general purpose 200 MHz ARM Cortex-M4F I/O subsystem cores can meet real-time requirements. On-chip peripherals (GPIO, UART, I2C, SPI, I2S, PWM and ADC) can be mapped to any of these three user-accessible processor cores as well. Two versions of the module are available. The first, an on-board chip antenna module, is ideal for cost-optimized systems. The second is the external U.FL antenna module supporting two external antennas which can support applications requiring higher performance. Design migration and end-product enhancements is a breeze with both the pin and footprint compatible modules.
