2.0mm Grace Inertia Signal Connector Series

TE Connectivity will soon release its next generation 2mm pitch GRACE INERTIA connector series. This series is an insulation displacement connector (IDC) product with advanced features and materials. Utilizing IDC technology, it can help to achieve higher efficiency and assembly cost savings.

The latching mechanism’s design helps to eliminate half-mating issues. Housings and headers in two keying options and colors help eliminate improper mating caused by human error during assembly. An anti-snag feature helps prevent wires from snagging on the latch. This reliable and robust design is suitable for some of the harshest and smallest environments.

An IDC crimping machine is also under development, designed for wire harness assembly for IDC plug. This further adds to this system with economic semi-automatic and rich features of fully automatic in order to further save assembly cost.
