HIROSE Electric Co. Ltd introduced the EF2 series of robust power connectors to meet the increased demand for high powered connectors offering advanced reliability for industrial equipment.

The EF2 series consists of DIN rail mount type in-line power connectors that uses a single action robust lock connection method for inserting standard ring terminals to maintain a stable and secure connection.

The innovative connector design allows the crimped cable to be inserted into the connector housing in a quick and user-friendly one-step operation.  The crimp contact can be easily terminated to the cable with a standard market commodity JIS C 9711 hand tool. Disconnection is made simple by pulling the contact while pushing down the button.

This series is designed to connect cables to electrical equipment such as power distribution in buildings without using screws. By eliminating screws, EF2 saves time on installation, maintenance, whilst saving time on wiring.

The series offers a wide range of cable sizes (1.25mm2 to 200mm2) and supports an extensive current range (16A to 400A).

Suitable applications are power distribution, energy storage systems, rail, and machine tools.
