NVRAM (Non-Volatile Random Access memory) is a semiconductor memory device that retains the data stored in memory cells even after power is turned off. All ROMs are examples of NVRAM. Most popular form of NVRAM is Flash memory. Speed and performance is comparatively less to that of different Volatile memory devices. Except from ROMs, NVRAM also include conventional volatile RAM devices with battery backup such as BIOS memory.
