The Texas Instruments bq27425 system-side LiCoO2battery fuel gauge is an easy to configuremicrocontroller peripheral that provides fuel gaugingfor single-cell LiCoO2 battery packs. The devicerequires minimal user configurations and systemmicrocontroller firmware development for accuratefuel gauging.
The bq27425 uses the patented Impedance Trackalgorithm for fuel gauging, and provides informationsuch as remaining battery capacity (mAh),state-of-charge (%), and battery voltage (mV).
Battery fuel gauging with the bq27425 requires onlyPACK+ (P+), PACK– (P–), for a removable batterypack or embedded battery circuit. The 15-pin 2,69 ×1,75 mm, 0.5 mm pitch CSP package is ideal forspace constrained applications.
