The NCP694 is a CMOS low dropout (LDO) linear voltage regulator, capable of providing 1 A of output current and optimized for output voltages below 1.2 V. It offers features such as excellent load regulation (3 mV typ.) low quiescent current (60 uA typ.) and excellent low dropout performance. A Chip Enable function can be used to place the device in standby mode, thus reducing the current consumption to ultra low levels. Ripple rejection of 70 dB typ. along with a current limit and thermal protection makes this a very robust and versatile device. The part is available in an adjustable version and in fixed voltage options of 0.8 V, 1.0 V, 1.2 V, 2.5 V, 3.3 V and is housed in small but power efficient HSON6 and SOT89 5 pin packages.
