NVRAM

An NVRAM (Non-Volatile Random Access memory) is a semiconductor memory device that retains the data stored in memory cells even after power is turned off. All ROMs are examples of NVRAM, and the most popular form of an NVRAM is Flash memory. Speed and performance is comparatively less to that of other volatile memory devices. Apart from ROMs, NVRAMs also include conventional volatile RAM devices with battery backup such as BIOS memory.
