VGA/PGA Variable & Programmable Gain Amplifiers

Programmable gain amplifiers (PGA) are electronic amplifiers whose gain can be controlled by external digital or analog signals. The variable gain amplifiers (VGA) are signal-conditioning amplifiers with electronically settable voltage gain. There are analog VGAs and digital VGAs or DVGAs. The variable gain amplifiers are used in a variety of network, commercial, aerospace and defense applications.
