Portfolio of OneTech Services Delivered and Project Managed Through Avnet Provides Quality-Assured Resources to Accelerate Partner Growth
TEMPE, Ariz. -- Avnet Technology Solutions, a value-added distributor of enterprise computing products, software and services and an operating group of Avnet, Inc. (NYSE:AVT), today announced OneTech Connect(TM), an Avnet-managed ecosystem of trusted North American IT service delivery partners. Designed to provide a full portfolio of technical and professional service offerings for small- to medium-sized businesses (SMBs), Avnet's partner community can speed their time-to-market for services offerings and total solutions capabilities by leveraging Avnet's network, while mitigating the costs and risks associated with direct partner-to-partner activities. OneTech Connect service engagements will be project managed by Avnet's industry-leading team of experts and only delivered by Avnet-approved providers.
"Our goal with the OneTech Connect program is to provide a way for our partners to quickly and cost-effectively expand the total menu of high-quality services they can offer to their end-user customers," said Jack Morris, vice president, Technology & Market Solutions, Avnet Technology Solutions, Americas. "Avnet's OneTech Connect accelerates services growth through a delivery and deployment model that simplifies the partner collaboration process, creates offerings that are easy to sell, reduces costs, and increases the value our partners provide to their SMB customers. The professional services available through OneTech are backed by Avnet from both a quality control and project management perspective, which reduces risks by establishing and enforcing clear rules of engagement."
The OneTech portfolio includes five complete service lines:
OneTech Implementation Services, OneTech Consulting Services, OneTech Managed Services, OneTech Integration Services and OneTech Support Services. OneTech services will be offered at a fixed price, established in advance by Avnet in collaboration with participating partners. The program helps partners accelerate the growth of their services and solutions businesses by including services in each sale and cultivating more long-term sales opportunities. With OneTech Connect, partners can augment their current capabilities in services without the sizable investment required to develop these resources internally. This enables Avnet's partners to invest in those strengths that set them apart in the marketplace, while turning to Avnet to expand their reach into SMB accounts when they do not have in-house services capabilities.
"With the increasing complexity of solutions and SMB market demands, it is clear that no one company can do it alone - at least not cost-effectively," said Jeffrey J. Teeter, executive vice president and general manager, Logicalis, Inc., Solution Technology Group. "Partner-to-partner collaboration can be challenging; finding and building trusted relationships with multiple quality partners takes time and money, and also carries a certain level of risk. Since Avnet takes responsibility for the successful delivery of each OneTech service engagement, we can trust that the OneTech Connect partners we bring into our SMB accounts will provide high-quality services at an affordable price. We feel this program and community will enable us to successfully and quickly grow our services business, and increase our competitive differentiation in the market."
Under OneTech Connect, Avnet recruits and qualifies individual partners to act as approved OneTech providers. This qualification and approval process ensures that only partner firms with the required offerings, skills, references and integrity represent both Avnet and its community of reseller partners. Avnet handles enforcement of the rules of engagement and contractual obligations for both partner organizations for each sales and delivery opportunity, provides project management expertise and support, and monitors and ensures the delivery quality of the services. OneTech Connect program participation is limited to partners conducting ongoing reseller business with Avnet.
According to Tiffani Bova, Research Director, Gartner, Inc., "Channel companies have increasingly been partnering with other complementary service providers to deliver solutions, including project management, development, integration and basic staff augmentation. This partnering service revenue is expected to grow significantly in the near term, and account for least 50 percent of most midsize VARs' revenues worldwide by year-end 2010. Collaboration networks provide an ecosystem to foster partner-to-partner collaboration resulting in further business reach, capabilities and geographic coverage for participating partners."(1)
The OneTech Connect program is a component of Avnet Technology Solutions' Technology & Market Solutions group, which is chartered with developing new high-growth opportunities for Avnet's partners.
The program is a foundational element of Avnet's strategy to assist and enable partners to develop new solution practices, which accelerate their time to profits while minimizing risks and costs.
