Bracknell, UK -- Avnet Technology Solutions, a solutions distribution leader and an operating group of Avnet, Inc. (NYSE: AVT), announced today that Avnet Technology Solutions UK has been named as Hitachi Data Systems EMEA Distributor of the Year for its outstanding performance during fiscal year 2010. The award was presented at the Camp Nou stadium, the home of European football champions, FC Barcelona during the annual Hitachi Data Systems Executive Partner Conference.
Avnet UK was recognised for the value it has added to Hitachi Data Systems and its channel partners in addition to its sales performance for the year.
