Vienna -- The engagement of value-added distributor Avnet Partner Solutions with IBM has been rewarding. Avnet has won the award as the number one distributor in sales of IBM software in four different regions of Europe.
“Avnet’s strong focus on the IBM software range, and the appropriate investments, together with IBM’s engagement, has proved to be the right strategy,” was the pleased reaction by Fritz Gaebler, Vice President & General Manager, Central Region, Avnet Partner Solutions, when he received the award from Ralph Haupter, Director of SW Channel Sales EMEA, IBM. “We are convinced that with this strategy we can further increase the figures for 2004.”
But above all the reaction of the customers shows Fritz Gaebler that cooperation with IBM is definitely the right path to take. High availability, fair prices and rapid, comprehensive information are of use to dealers and end consumers just as much as the guaranteed quality and usability of the IBM products.
The figures also relate, among other things, that in 2003 Avnet’s turnover with IBM software had increased by 22% - and that following an already very successful 2002 – is the direct path to number one and continually growing mutual success.
Ralph Haupter appreciates Avnet’s engagement for IBM: “The success of our business partner is of vital interest for route-to-the-market strategy.
